Can't Stop
So I pretty much spent the entire day online looking for THE perfect tote bag to replace my bulky, uncomfortable backpack since I barely use any of my books in class, I’m getting a locker Wednesday, and it’s a holy bitch to lug the pack and my giant shoulder bag up and down twenty blocks and on and off public transit. My perfect tote had to have pockets and lots of them, since I’m basically using it to replace pack & bag (which holds everything but the kitchen sink). It had to be big, at least 15 inches wide and long, with a few inches of depth. And it had to be somewhat simple, since I plan on covering it with buttons, patches, and any other embellishments I think of later. After hours rummaging through Amazon, etsy, and eBay, I finally found it: the cutest tote with the most function for the best price.
If this bag is even close to as amazing as it seems, I’m going to be officially in love with Rootote, an Australia-based company that specialized in incredibly functional and unique tote bags for just about any purpose. I found my little gem on eBay from banban19 for only $6.99. If you want it at this price, you better hurry as there’s only a few left, or you’ll have to shell out the dough for the full price here.
What’s so special about this bag? Well for one, it meets all my needs, and I absolutely love the idea of all the pockets. There’s a hidden zip pocket on the outside, and three pockets on the inside the things I hate digging around for: phone, keys, and cigarettes. The colors are perfect; I love natural hues, especially brown and blue together. I even love the text. It translates roughly to (correct me if I’m wrong) ‘hope to fly of its own wings.’ And nine is one of my favorite numbers.
If just my little gushing about this thing has your interest, I suggest checking out the Rootote website where you can see all the different styles and all the neat features. You can find even more of their bags on eBay, YesStyle.com, or just by Googling ‘Rootote’.
Now on to the purchase I made last Thursday that I’m quite happy with, too. I hurried up and snagged the Bowie shirt from Forever 21 that I’ve been wanting for a few weeks (seriously, right after I paid for my stuff, it was listed as ‘sold out’). While I was there, I took advantage of some serious sales and got this green hooded sweater jacket adjective adjective that I’d seen before in a store & liked and a simple black cardigan, something I’ve been wanting to get. All of this for only $42 before shipping & taxes.
Now I’ll spend the next few days compulsively checking and rechecking the status of my orders in eager anticipation of their arrivals. Please please please let me love them then as much as I do right now.
